Staff Information Systems Security Officer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Washington, DC, United States; on-site

Salary: $120,000–$190,000 per year, plus bonus, benefits, and equity for regular full-time employees.

What you will do

• Implement and monitor cybersecurity controls based on RMF and NIST 800-53 requirements.
• Support RMF lifecycle activities and maintain SSPs, POA&Ms, and related accreditation artifacts.
• Perform vulnerability management, patch tracking, scan analysis, and system risk reporting using ACAS/Nessus.
• Support incident response, audits, inspections, and audit-ready documentation.
• Oversee Cross Domain Solutions security, including accreditation, configuration validation, and data-flow reviews.
• Maintain STIG-compliant secure baselines and advise engineers and administrators on secure design in MLS environments.

Requirements

• 8 years of experience in cybersecurity or ISSO roles within classified environments.
• Experience with RMF and NIST 800-53.
• Familiarity with STIGs and vulnerability management tools.
• Ability to work on-site in Washington, DC.
• Cleared background is required; offers may be subject to a reference check.

Nice to have

• Experience in Intelligence Community or SAP environments.
• Familiarity with eMASS.
• Scripting experience with Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
