TL;DR

Applied AI Agent Engineer (LLM/Backend): Building and developing AI agent workflows and production-ready LLM application components with an accent on tool integrations, backend services, and AI system architecture. Focus on designing orchestration patterns, optimizing retrieval flows, and improving system reliability and latency.

Location: Taiwan, Taipei. Work-from-home arrangement possible (varies by team).

What you will do

  • Design and develop AI agent workflows and LLM-powered application components.
  • Build and test prompt strategies, retrieval flows, tool-use logic, and orchestration patterns.
  • Define evaluation metrics, run benchmarks, and analyze failure cases to improve system performance.
  • Optimize AI systems for quality, latency, reliability, safety, and cost.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy production AI systems.
  • Contribute to backend services, APIs, and internal tools as needed.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Expected graduation in 2026 or 2027.
  • Solid programming skills in Python or Java with a preference for backend engineering familiarity.
  • Available for a 6-month full-time commitment (5 days per week).
  • Strong curiosity about LLMs, AI agents, automation, and real-world system design.
  • Ability to decompose ambiguous problems into working prototypes.

Nice to have

  • Personal projects involving LLM applications, agent systems, or AI-assisted development.
  • Familiarity with OpenAI APIs, Anthropic APIs, Hugging Face, LangChain, or vector databases.
  • Experience with Git, databases, backend services, or cloud platforms.
