What you will do

• Lead day-to-day management of enforcement and contentious matters, including oppositions, cancellations, and infringements.
• Act as the technical lead on clearance and registrability to support product launches and marketing campaigns.
• Own the operational management of the trademark portfolio, overseeing filing strategy, prosecution, and renewals.
• Develop templates, guidance, and training to improve legal consistency and risk management across the business.
• Implement and leverage legal technology and AI tools to improve efficiency and quality of legal output.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders and external counsel to align IP strategy with commercial goals.

Requirements

• Qualified lawyer with 5+ years’ PQE and relevant IP experience gained in private practice.
• Deep knowledge of UK trademark law and practice, with experience in designs and copyright.
• Strong drafting skills for licenses, coexistence agreements, IP assignments, and cease and desist letters.
• Proven ability to manage external counsel, set scope, and maintain budget discipline.
• Strong stakeholder management skills to partner with creative and commercial teams.
