What you will do

• Monitor and translate global regulatory developments regarding loot boxes, virtual currencies, and mobile gaming into actionable business guidance.
• Lead the legal response to the EU AI Act, advising on risk classification and compliance for player-facing AI features and development pipelines.
• Advise on trust, safety, and age assurance obligations under the UK Online Safety Act, EU frameworks, and APAC/US national requirements.
• Partner with product and operations teams to design compliant monetization, in-game advertising, and AI-generated content.
• Manage IP strategy and enforcement, including asset clearance, UGC policies, and coordinating takedowns across platforms.
• Develop scalable legal playbooks and lead engagements with external regulators and industry bodies.

Requirements

• 7+ years PQE with significant in-house experience advising on the regulatory landscape for mobile gaming or consumer digital products.
• Qualified solicitor in England & Wales (or equivalent common law jurisdiction).
• Proven track record of providing clear, confident legal answers to product teams in fast-moving environments.
• Strong understanding of IP principles as they apply to games and digital content, including enforcement and clearance.
• Ability to translate complex, multi-jurisdictional regulatory landscapes into actionable positions for non-lawyer audiences.
