What you will do

• Perform precision inspection and gauging of purchased, first-piece, and in-process production parts.
• Operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and a variety of precision measuring instruments.
• Interpret complex drawings, specifications, and instructions to plan and execute inspection duties.
• Conduct geometric measurements of dimensions, angles, surfaces, radii, and threads to ensure adherence to specifications.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Supply Chain, and Assembly departments to clarify tolerance acceptability.
• Instruct suppliers on measurement methods to maintain quality consistency.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED with practical apprenticeship training, or a 2-year degree in a related field.
• 1+ years of experience in industrial machinery inspection or quality assurance.
• Proficiency in CMM operation and the use of precision measuring tools.
• Ability to work from complex technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience with Microsoft 365, MAPICS, and CAD software.
