TL;DR
Commercial Solar Manager (FTC): Accelerate success of national solar and heating franchise network by helping franchisees identify, pitch, and win B2B projects with an accent on commercial BD strategies, bid support, and partnerships. Focus on building localised growth plans, enabling franchisee capabilities, and co-authoring high-value sales.
Location: Hub Based - Hybrid (Bristol, Glasgow, or London; in office at least once a week). No sponsorship available.
Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 + 15% bonus

What you will do
- Partner with franchisees to build localised commercial BD plans tailored to their territories.
- Design and launch targeted BD campaigns for sectors like industrial parks, agriculture, or property developers.
- Support franchisees in identifying and winning private and public sector bids, including pitch decks and sales meetings.
- Collaborate with Partnerships Lead to identify, vet, and manage high-impact commercial partners.
- Build franchisee capabilities from supported to independent through training and resources like "Bid-in-a-Box" knowledge bank.
- Review and audit franchisee-led bids for quality and brand consistency.
Requirements
- Proven experience in bid management, BD, winning pitches, tenders in private (and possibly public) sector.
- Strong communicator able to write technical tenders and compelling pitch decks.
- Entrepreneurial spirit thriving in scrappy, ambiguous startup-style environment.
- Strategic navigator prioritising high-impact opportunities.
- Commercial storyteller turning technical specs into value propositions.
- Strategic relationship builder with pre-tender engagement experience; existing network a plus.
