What you will do

  • Partner with Product & Tech teams to ensure legal compliance across 30+ countries and 50 U.S. states.
  • Act as lead counsel for the Financial Services product suite, including Payment and Capital.
  • Implement global data privacy frameworks (APP, GDPR, CCPA) in collaboration with the Security team.
  • Manage a network of local counsel and translate foreign laws into actionable product requirements.
  • Support high-impact projects including M&A, partnerships, and SaaS contracting.
  • Procure and deploy AI and legal-tech tools to increase the efficiency and accuracy of the legal function.

Requirements

  • Law degree and admission to practice in Australia, England and Wales, or the United States.
  • 8-12 years PQE with a mix of in-house and private practice experience, ideally in tech.
  • Experience within a global or scaled SaaS or fintech environment.
  • Proven track record of building legal playbooks and processes from scratch.
  • Commercial mindset focused on enabling business velocity while managing risk.
  • Proficiency or strong curiosity regarding AI and legal-tech applications.
