AVP or VP of Hybrid Solutions (US Property): Underwriting and managing reinsurance portfolios for US property risks with an accent on strategic direction, P&L performance, and tailored risk solutions. Focus on building broker relationships, prospecting new business, and collaborating across actuarial, legal, and leadership teams to deliver client-centric reinsurance products.

Location: Hybrid in US offices: New York, NY (primary); Atlanta, GA; Boston, MA; Chicago, IL; Stamford, CT; Philadelphia, PA; Warren, NJ. Up to 25% domestic travel.

Salary: $201,000 - $265,000 annually

What you will do

  • Shape strategic direction and P&L for US Property Hybrid Solutions portfolio.
  • Underwrite, manage, and bind reinsurance opportunities with broad discretion.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with national/regional brokers; prospect new business.
  • Collaborate with global leadership, line underwriters, and internal teams (actuarial, legal, claims).
  • Provide tailored reinsurance solutions and risk management for complex client risks.
  • Represent at industry events, contribute to business plans, and enhance product offerings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years insurance/reinsurance underwriting experience; reinsurance/portfolio/program preferred.
  • Experience analyzing reinsurance contract terms.
  • Strong marketing skills for broker relationships.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, report-writing, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and company systems.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% domestically.
