TL;DR

Strategic Business Development Lead (Fintech): Driving commercial strategy and growth in the Americas market with an accent on creating high-impact narratives and advisory frameworks for institutional clients. Location: Hybrid in New York or Toronto (office attendance required 2 days per week)

Salary: $138,000 – $207,000 USD (NYC) / $168,320 – $252,480 CAD (Toronto)

What you will do

  • Develop high-impact external materials, sales narratives, and strategic value propositions tailored to diverse buyer personas.
  • Act as a strategic advisor during live client engagements to align product solutions with institutional requirements.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to shape the regional commercial strategy for the Americas.
  • Collaborate with Solution Engineering, Product, and Finance teams to ensure messaging accuracy and alignment.
  • Create scalable frameworks, templates, and messaging playbooks to elevate commercial content quality.
  • Mentor and coach team members on storytelling, presentation structure, and strategic communication.

Requirements

  • 5-7+ years of experience in management consulting, specifically in investment operations or commercial strategy.
  • Deep knowledge of the asset management industry and the investment management technology landscape.
  • Expertise in institutional operating models across front, middle, and back office.
  • Experience with RFP and provider selection processes for enterprise platforms.
  • Ability to create executive-ready strategic decks and synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
  • Must be based in New York or Toronto.
