What you will do
- Lead and develop a team of motor engineers, fostering a high-performing, collaborative culture.
- Drive motor technology strategy and define the roadmap for architectures including BLDC, universal, and switched reluctance motors.
- Provide technical oversight from concept through prototype, validation, and production.
- Partner with global motor suppliers to co-develop optimized motor solutions and ensure production readiness.
- Define and maintain performance targets for torque, speed, noise, vibration, and efficiency.
- Conduct advanced electromagnetic and electromechanical analysis using FEA and simulation.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in motor design and development, ideally in consumer products or appliances.
- Proven experience in technical leadership or engineering management roles.
- Expert-level understanding of electromagnetic theory and motor physics.
- Hands-on experience with FEA tools such as Maxwell, JMAG, or Motor-CAD.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (Master's or Ph.D. preferred).
- Must be based in the United States.
