Senior Release Manager (SaaS)

Location: Remote from the USA for candidates residing in CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, IL, KS, MA, MD, ME, NJ, NC, NY, OR, TN, TX, VA, or WA. Hybrid options are available at physical offices in Austin, Texas, and Tampa, Florida. Candidates residing within the city limits of Chicago cannot be hired for this role.

Salary: $110,000–$170,000 per year for roles based in California, Colorado, Maryland, New Jersey, Washington, or New York.

What you will do

• Manage production deployment plans, deployment issues, escalations, contingencies, and execution communications.
• Coordinate engineering teams and stakeholders for high-frequency, complex releases.
• Onboard internal customers to the Release Engineering platform and assist with requirements for automated release capabilities.
• Manage release communications, schedules, landing pages, and calendar entries.
• Monitor release progress using metrics and define ownership and escalation processes for release issues.
• Document, refine, and continuously improve release processes to reduce risk and increase scalability.

Requirements

• 5+ years of program or project management experience with software engineering teams.
• Experience managing releases for SaaS or cloud-native platforms at scale.
• Experience with distributed systems and microservices architectures.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, release automation, and software engineering practices.
• Familiarity with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, ArgoCD, or similar tools, plus AWS or comparable cloud platforms.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident; visa sponsorship is not available. A bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with hirify.global's technology stack, including Java, Kotlin, C++, Golang, Postgres, and AWS.
• Knowledge of large-scale datastore bottlenecks, asynchronous application design, and client-server architecture.
