Design Engineer (Renewable Energy)

What you will do

• Design hirify.global infrastructure projects, including solar, BESS, wind, gas-peak and data centre developments.
• Create layouts, system configurations, drawings, schedules, specifications and construction-ready engineering documentation.
• Optimise designs for performance, cost and buildability.
• Support site feasibility, planning submissions, technical due diligence and grid connection design.
• Prepare bills of quantities and provide technical input to procurement.
• Hand over de-risked design packages to EPC contractors and standardise designs across projects and markets.

Requirements

• Degree or equivalent experience in electrical, mechanical, civil, renewable energy or related engineering.
• 3–6+ years of project design experience, ideally in solar, BESS, wind, gas or data centre projects.
• Experience creating technical drawings, layouts and engineering documentation with standard design tools such as AutoCAD or PVsyst.
• Knowledge of grid connection requirements in at least one target market.
• Experience working with EPC contractors and optimising designs for performance and cost.
• Clear communication, strong analytical skills, and willingness to learn new technologies and markets.
