What you will do

  • Manage a portfolio of SME clients with turnovers between £10m–£25m to drive growth in income and market share.
  • Act as a strategic advisor, providing tailored Commercial Banking services, including lending, working capital, and deposits.
  • Lead strategic outreach initiatives to attract new high-value clients through relationship building.
  • Engage with business communities and influencers in Devon to maintain a strong market presence.
  • Oversee lending assessments and manage contingent liabilities in compliance with asset quality and policy guidelines.
  • Support clients on ESG strategies and their journey to Net Zero.

Requirements

  • Consistent track record of winning new business within corporate or commercial banking.
  • Demonstrable credit experience and ability to make effective commercial recommendations.
  • Strong communication skills for building relationships with high-value clients and external partners.
  • Deep understanding of Commercial Banking risk and effective mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborative mindset with a drive for both individual and team success.
