Senior Manager of Tax (Fintech)

Location: New York Metro (in office 3 days a week)

Salary: $170,000 - $205,000 per year

What you will do

• Oversee income tax compliance, review federal/state/foreign returns, payments, and extensions
• Manage tax provision (ASC 740), including calculations, journal entries, and disclosures
• Handle relationships with external tax firms, respond to notices, and support audits
• Provide tax guidance on sales/use tax, payroll, compensation, 1099 reporting, and other areas
• Identify risks, recommend solutions, and assist FP&A with tax forecasts
• Build and document tax processes with proper controls

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• Minimum 6 years experience with Big 4 or large corporate tax department in US/multi-state company
• Solid US income tax compliance preparation/review experience
• Advanced ASC 740 and GAAP knowledge
• CPA certification
• MS Office proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), strong communication and organizational skills

Nice to have

• Master’s in business taxation
• Consumer finance/lending experience
• International tax experience
