What you will do

• Lead the scope, selection, and implementation of the company's ERP system with cross-functional integrations.
• Establish the in-house month-end close process, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Develop inventory and cost accounting processes to ensure accurate reporting of COGS and production.
• Provide technical accounting guidance on ASC 606 for commercial contracts and revenue recognition.
• Lead the transition to full GAAP compliance and prepare the organization for its first financial audit.
• Scale end-to-end procurement and accounts payable processes to support global vendor management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA required.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience in a high-growth or venture-backed company.
• Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP, including ASC 606, 330, 460, 842, 718, and 730.
• Hands-on experience leading ERP implementations integrated with MES or PLM tools.
• Extensive experience with inventory and cost accounting within a manufacturing or hardware environment.
• Must be able to work on-site in Scotts Valley.

Nice to have

• Experience as an early accounting hire at a Series A–C startup.
• Prior experience working at a Big 4 or top-tier accounting firm.
• Background in power electronics, energy, climate tech, or capital-intensive manufacturing.
• Experience managing first-time financial audits.
