TL;DR

Intern, Electronics Design Engineer: Participating in subsystem architecture design, ECAD library management, circuit simulation/analysis, and prototype testing for power electronics converters with an accent on component sourcing, verification, and bring-up procedures. Focus on developing test plans, debugging electrical interfaces, and collaborating with EE, firmware, and manufacturing teams.

What you will do

  • Own ECAD librarian role: create components and review designs.
  • Identify suitable components and evaluate alternatives with EE team.
  • Verify circuits via simulation, prototype testing, and test procedure development.
  • Participate in design reviews and sub-system architecture trade-offs.
  • Develop bring-up test plans, FW/SW requirements, and manage prototype test data.
  • Test PCB interfaces, sensors, actuators, and buses like CAN, RS-485, Ethernet.
  • Support LV system validation during prototype/production builds and integration testing.
  • Coordinate with firmware, test, and manufacturing for system integration.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing bachelor's or master's in Electrical Engineering.
  • 1+ term internship in EE or hardware projects.
  • Experience with circuit simulation and ECAD tools (LTSpice, Altium).
  • Experience with microcontrollers, peripherals, and protocols (I2C, SPI, QSPI, UART, CAN).
  • Familiarity with analog circuits, power conversion, and supply topologies.
  • Hands-on debugging/testing with oscilloscopes, multimeters.
  • Passion for learning and independent work in fast-paced team environment.

Nice to have

  • Experience with LV systems in high-voltage environments.
  • Familiarity with fieldbus protocols like CAN or industrial Ethernet.
  • Knowledge of EMC, UL/IEC standards.
  • Knowledge of IPC standards for PCB design/manufacturing.
  • Experience creating engineering/wiring harness drawings.
  • Exposure to firmware development/debugging.
  • Knowledge of failure mode analysis/root cause for electrical systems.
  • Portfolio showcasing electronics passion.
