Financial Controller (Retail)

TL;DR

Financial Controller (Finance/Retail): Preparing financial reports, balance sheets, and income statements with an accent on month-end closing, reporting to PUMA, and internal controls. Focus on optimizing work routines, conducting financial data analysis, and supporting year-end audits.

Location: Hybrid in Den Bosch, Netherlands. Must already have the legal right to work in the Netherlands; no visa sponsorship provided. Working remotely from other countries is not possible.

What you will do

• Contribute to month-end closing and reporting to PUMA through liaison with local agencies.
• Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements.
• Maintain balance sheet specifications for provisions and accruals.
• Analyze financial data of entities in scope to support management decisions.
• Support year-end closing, compliance audits, and internal control monitoring.
• Execute special projects and continuous improvement of financial processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance or Accounting.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in an international organization.
• Experience within a retail or distribution environment.
• Knowledge of international accounting standards (IFRS).
• English proficiency level (C1+).
• Must be based in the Netherlands.

• Experience in SAP.
