Senior GL Accountant

What you will do

• Own general ledger reconciliations: manage high-volume balance sheet and P&L account reconciliations, investigate variances, and resolve discrepancies across entities
• Support month-end close: prepare and post journal entries, maintain schedules, and ensure accurate, timely closes
• Deliver statutory and financial compliance: assist with annual accounts, tax returns, statistical filings, and reporting for multiple jurisdictions
• Strengthen internal controls: enhance accounting policies, process documentation, and control frameworks
• Work across teams: partner with financial reporting, operational finance, and shared services for data accuracy and alignment
• Assist with audits and intercompany: support external audits, maintain intercompany reconciliations, and handle postings/settlements
• Contribute to system integrations: support transition from NetSuite to SAP

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (CPA or equivalent a plus)
• Proven accounting experience in multi-entity or high-transaction environments
• Strong general ledger knowledge and understanding of accounting standards
• Experience with reconciliations, audits, and compliance requirements
• Comfortable with ERP systems (SAP required)
• Strong Excel skills for large data volumes; detail-oriented, organised, proactive
• Clear communicator who enjoys process improvements and problem-solving
