What you will do

• Define and drive the end-to-end engineering strategy for the Skylar AI platform, including model architecture and data pipelines.
• Lead the transformation of engineering processes and culture to be AI-centric, embedding AI-assisted development into the SDLC.
• Recruit, develop, and retain a world-class organization of AI/ML engineers and leaders.
• Partner with executive leadership (CTO, CPO) to align technical roadmaps with business objectives and revenue growth.
• Represent the company as a thought leader in the AI and engineering community at industry events.

Requirements

• 15+ years of engineering leadership experience, with 5+ years in VP or equivalent roles.
• Deep technical expertise in LLMs, neural networks, RAG architectures, and vector databases.
• Proven track record of scaling high-performing, geographically distributed engineering teams.
• Strong command of cloud-native architectures, including Kubernetes and microservices.
• Must be based in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience in IT Operations, AIOps, ITOM, or ITSM domains.
• Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Computer Science, AI/ML, or a related field.
• Experience presenting at industry conferences as a thought leader.
