What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain data processing applications and services using Spark, Java, and Kotlin.
• Build and maintain ETL pipelines and Data Processing architectures.
• Implement and manage relational databases, ensuring data integrity and performance.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while troubleshooting and debugging applications.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Software Engineer.
• Proficiency in at least one distributed columnar data store (e.g., Spark, Hive, Redshift, Presto, Snowflake).
• Proficiency in a compiled language (Java, Scala, Kotlin, or Python).
• Strong understanding of relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git).
• Must be based in New York, United States (Hybrid).

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Experience with testing frameworks like JUnit.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and Docker.
