Senior Systems Administrator

TL;DR

Senior Systems Administrator (DoD/Cloud): Sustainment and secure operation of enterprise applications and systems in classified (SIPRNet) and unclassified (NIPRNet) environments with an accent on virtual machines, cloud migration, and DoD compliance. Focus on managing patching, security hardening, backups, incident response, and network optimization for performance and fault tolerance.

What you will do

• Sustain and securely operate TRDM's enterprise applications, managing virtual machines, patching, backups, load balancing, and configuration.
• Lead migration to government-approved cloud environment and provide ongoing cloud support with automated deployments and troubleshooting.
• Handle user account management across NIPRNet and SIPRNet, including provisioning and access permissions.
• Resolve Tier I/II support tickets, perform incident response, and log activities in government ITSM systems.
• Monitor system performance, support failover/recovery, and optimize network software for stability and connectivity.
• Implement networking best practices, support installations/upgrades in local/remote environments, and ensure DoD standards compliance.

Requirements

• BS/BA degree or 4 additional years of related experience.
• 7+ years of relevant experience.
• IAT Level II: Security+ CE certification.
• One or more: AWS Certified Database Specialty, Solutions Architect Associate/Professional, Security Specialty, SysOps Administrator Associate; Oracle, Microsoft Azure, or related certifications.
• Proficiency in user account management, virtualized/cloud system administration (VMware, DoD clouds), incident response, and system monitoring/backups.
• Experience with NIPRNet/SIPRNet environments required.

Nice to have

• DoD secure network experience including STIG compliance.
• Automation/scripting with PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• ITIL and service desk best practices knowledge.
