What you will do

• Deliver high-quality financial and regulatory reports for a portfolio of captive insurance companies.
• Maintain and reconcile General Ledger and prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements.
• Prepare and file premium tax returns and ensure timely regulatory filings.
• Manage client financial audits and liaise with state regulators and third-party service providers.
• Prepare for and attend client Board of Director meetings.
• Handle daily verbal and written client communications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
• 3-5 years of financial accounting experience.
• Proficiency with Excel and financial accounting/general ledger software.
• Must be based in the US East region for this in-office role.
• Ability to travel up to 5% domestically.

Nice to have

• CPA certification.
• Experience in captive management or the insurance industry.
• Insurance accounting and auditing experience.
