What you will do
- Manage and review tax compliance for captive insurance companies and related entities.
- Provide technical guidance on IRC §831(b) and insurance-specific tax considerations.
- Advise clients on captive structuring, including risk distribution and risk shifting principles.
- Support and lead IRS examinations, audits, and controversy matters related to captives.
- Review the work of staff and seniors while providing mentorship and technical development.
- Collaborate with firm leadership to support practice growth and service line expansion.
Requirements
- CPA license required.
- Direct experience with captive insurance taxation (specifically §831(b) or micro-captive structures).
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Manager: 5–7+ years of public accounting tax experience.
- Senior Manager: 8–12+ years of public accounting tax experience.
- Strong experience with closely held businesses and complex tax structures.
