What you will do

• Lead and mentor a cross-disciplinary team including Design Engineers, Product Modellers, Engineering Schedulers, and Quality Control Technicians.
• Manage the full engineering lifecycle from concept and early design collaboration through to prototype validation and final package release.
• Provide technical expertise and direction on complex mechanical designs, specifically for sheet metal, injection moulding, and extrusion assemblies.
• Integrate DFMA (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly) and value engineering into all product development activities to ensure high-quality results.
• Optimize engineering methodologies and quality standards, collaborating with resource analysts to improve project visibility and planning.
• Audit adherence to SOPs, PDM file management, and Bill of Materials (BOM) accuracy to ensure efficient production transitions.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in progressive product development within a custom manufacturing environment.
• Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks and PDM.
• Deep expertise in sheet metal design, injection moulding, and extrusion-based assemblies.
• Proven experience in technical team leadership, mentoring, and people management.
• Strong ability to communicate technical information confidently to internal teams and external clients.
