Engineering Technician

TL;DR

Engineering Technician (Thermoforming): Production-facing owner of controlled engineering documentation and ERP master data for heavy gauge thermoforming programs with an accent on SolidWorks/EPDM specifications and NetSuite item masters, BOMs, routings. Focus on administering engineering changes, ensuring production readiness, and providing immediate support to eliminate documentation-driven downtime.

Location: Global remote (must be outside U.S., requires at least 3 hours overlap with U.S. Central Time each day)

What you will do

• Prepare, revise, and release SolidWorks drawings, layouts, and specifications for production manufacturing.
• Maintain EPDM/PDM records, metadata, and traceable history across large installed base of molds.
• Create and maintain NetSuite item masters, BOMs, routings, work instructions, and packaging instructions.
• Administer Engineering Change Requests/Orders and deviations end-to-end, including approvals, tracking, and implementation.
• Participate in daily production meetings, align documentation to schedule needs, and support cross-functional teams.
• Provide responsive technical support to manufacturing, planning, purchasing, quality, and engineering.

Requirements

• Fluency in English (B2 minimum, written and verbal)
• 3–5 years experience supporting heavy gauge thermoforming in production (returnable packaging preferred)
• Strong proficiency with SolidWorks (drawings, revisions, release).
• Strong proficiency with NetSuite (item masters, BOMs, routings).
• Experience with EPDM/PDM workflows, revision control, ISO 9001:2015 document control.
• Proficiency with Excel, Teams, and ECR database administration.
