What you will do

• Lead the EPH team and manage six direct reports to achieve high performance.
• Oversee all legal work and technical assistance provided to local election officials.
• Coordinate advocacy strategies to promote election administration and voting rights.
• Develop high-profile cases for litigation in coordination with the Director of Litigation.
• Represent the organization at conferences, in media briefings, and within coalitions.
• Manage the EPH budget and track progress against grant deliverables.

Requirements

• Law degree and bar membership in good standing in one or more US states.
• Must be based in the United States.
• At least 12 years of legal practice (preferred).
• 3 to 5 years of experience managing teams in a legal advocacy context.
• Significant prior experience with voting rights and/or election law.
• Willingness to travel regularly (approximately once per month).

Nice to have

• Prior experience working in government or directly representing government officials.
• Experience creating communication and public-facing materials.
