What you will do

• Develop and implement computation methods and power system models in software.
• Design, code, test, and document software products and maintain their functionality.
• Perform complex power system studies, including dynamic model validation and transmission planning.
• Provide customer support and assist in the marketing and delivery of software projects.
• Participate in R&D efforts and conduct field measurements at client facilities.

Requirements

• Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering specializing in Power Systems.
• P.Eng or eligibility for immediate registration with the Engineers and Geoscientists of BC.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Studies, Consulting, or Software Engineer.
• Proficiency in programming with C/C++, Python, Java, or Matlab.
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
• Strong understanding of reliability standards and regulations for power system operation.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of protection and control systems for rotating machines and substations.
• Expertise in object-oriented programming and C/C++ within a Visual Studio environment.
• Experience using or developing commercial power system simulation software.
