Controllership/Accounting Positions - Evergreen (Accounting)

Location: Hybrid in Columbus, Ohio; must reside within 35 miles of 1 hirify.global Blvd. Schedule includes 2 days in the office and 3 days remote.

Salary: $79,500–$148,500 annually; expected starting range: $79,500–$119,500.

What you will do

• Plan, coordinate, and perform complex accounting functions and prepare sophisticated financial and regulatory statements.
• Establish and implement new or revised accounting policies and procedures.
• Prepare, analyze, and validate financial data, reports, forms, and consolidation-related information.
• Research GAAP and STAT requirements and implement accounting and financial reporting changes.
• Lead the development of enhanced systems and processes and manage special accounting projects.
• Prepare information and presentations for auditors, the IRS, state examiners, regulatory agencies, and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

• Four to six years of related accounting experience; insurance experience is preferred.
• Undergraduate studies in accounting, finance, or business administration; an accounting degree is preferred.
• Knowledge of GAAP and/or STAT requirements, complex financial statement preparation, consolidation, taxation, and regulatory reporting.
• Ability to analyze financial documents and data, solve complex accounting problems, and interpret legal and financial reporting requirements.
• Project management, communication, leadership, and advanced computer skills.
• Employment does not include employer-sponsored work authorization; the position does not participate in the STEM OPT extension program.

Nice to have

• Progress toward a CPA designation.
• Insurance, public accounting, or CPA experience.
