Principal Product Manager (AI): Rethinking the web browser by integrating frontier AI capabilities to collapse the distance between user intent and action with an accent on AI-native product strategy and user experience. Location: Redmond, United States. Must be based within a 50-mile commute of a designated Microsoft office in the U.S. (expected in-office at least 4 days per week).

Salary: $163,000 – $296,400 per year

What you will do

• Own the AI-native product strategy for Microsoft Edge to streamline user research, tasks, and decision-making.
• Convert frontier AI capabilities into high-value user experiences rather than short-lived demos.
• Execute hypothesis-driven experimentation cycles for new AI interaction patterns and UI flows.
• Collaborate with research, data science, and growth teams to ship and scale AI features.
• Define product direction in ambiguous spaces and drive alignment across cross-functional partner teams.
• Operate as a senior IC, coaching other PMs and maintaining a high bar for product delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of experience in product/program management or software development.
• Must be located in the US and able to work from the Redmond office 4+ days per week.
• Experience shipping consumer products at meaningful scale (5+ years preferred).
• Experience building products with LLMs, agentic AI, or similar frontier AI technologies (3+ years preferred).
• Proven track record of owning a product from 0 to launch.
• Familiarity with prompting patterns, RAG, agentic frameworks, or eval-based quality measurement.

Nice to have

• 15+ years of total professional experience in product or software development.
• Experience with browser technologies, web platforms, or Chromium-based products.
• Experience working with geographically distributed engineering teams.
