TL;DR

Regional Account Manager (SaaS): Managing and growing a Tier 2 book of business for a mobility marketplace with an accent on retention, account expansion, and strategic client relationships. Focus on executing Challenger-led selling, driving product penetration in school districts, and coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure operational excellence.

Location: Must be based in Northern CA / Bay Area. Requires 2-3 days of on-site client visits per week.

Salary: Base $85,000–$90,000 with OTE $130,000–$140,000

What you will do

  • Manage day-to-day account health, retention, and expansion for a Tier 2 book of business.
  • Conduct on-site client visits 2-3 days per week to deepen relationships and understand needs.
  • Execute district-level growth strategies using the Challenger methodology to drive product penetration.
  • Lead renewals, pricing negotiations, and closing motions.
  • Collaborate with Product, Operations, Finance, and Trust & Safety to align offerings with client priorities.
  • Identify product-level gaps and strategies for expansion within complex districts.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Account Management, Customer Success, or Consultative Sales (SaaS, marketplace, or logistics).
  • Must be based in Northern CA / Bay Area.
  • Proven track record of owning retention and expansion revenue.
  • Strong executive communication and presentation skills.
  • Advanced CRM discipline and data fluency (Salesforce or equivalent).
  • Ability to travel and possess reliable transportation for frequent on-site visits.

Nice to have

  • Experience in education, government, or regulated markets.
  • Familiarity with Challenger or similar insight-led sales methodologies.
  • Background in transportation, logistics, or marketplace platforms.
