What you will do

• Develop detailed flight test plans, including objectives, safety protocols, and resource requirements.
• Lead the execution of flight tests and conduct pre-flight inspections to ensure UAV readiness.
• Monitor and analyze flight data in real-time to assess performance and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare comprehensive test reports and present findings to engineering teams and stakeholders.
• Implement safety protocols and conduct risk assessments to ensure safe operations.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the refinement of test methodologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5-8 years of experience in aerospace engineering, with 3-5 years in UAV flight testing.
• Proven experience planning and conducting flight tests for unmanned systems.
• Experience with data acquisition systems, telemetry, and flight control systems.
• Must be authorized to work in the US and pass E-Verify identity verification.
• Knowledge of FAA regulations and airworthiness standards for UAVs.

Nice to have

• Part 107 pilot certification.
