Salary: $233,500 - $350,500 + equity

What you will do

• Modernize the data ecosystem into a scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud-native platform.
• Own end-to-end architecture across ingestion, transformation, modeling, storage, and consumption.
• Design systems supporting analytics, real-time reporting, experimentation, and AI/ML use cases.
• Define enterprise-wide standards for data modeling and semantic layers to ensure trusted datasets.
• Build practical frameworks for data lineage, quality, privacy, and compliance (GDPR, CCPA).
• Mentor engineers and guide technology decisions across data engineering, analytics, and AI teams.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in data architecture or platform engineering, with 3+ years in a senior, staff, or architect role.
• Proven experience building end-to-end data platforms, including architecture and platform standards.
• Hands-on experience with modern cloud-native platforms such as Snowflake or Databricks.
• Strong expertise in data modeling, semantic layers, and both batch and real-time/event-driven architectures.
• Ability to leverage AI tools (e.g., Claude) to accelerate architectural design and documentation.
• Strong communication skills to drive alignment across diverse stakeholders and leadership.

Nice to have

• Experience at a high-growth consumer tech company, marketplace, fintech, or SaaS platform.
• Familiarity with dbt, Looker, or lakehouse technologies like Delta Lake or Iceberg.
• Experience supporting experimentation, trust and safety, fraud, or ML/AI-driven systems.
