Salary: $200,000 – $220,000

What you will do

• Lead and grow a high-performing Multimodal ML team, managing hiring, career development, and a culture of technical excellence.
• Guide the development of multimodal models for image-text and image-to-image embeddings, ensuring high retrieval performance.
• Oversee the end-to-end ML lifecycle, including data strategy, training pipelines, evaluation frameworks, and vector storage.
• Drive innovation in cross-modal search for new data sources such as drone video and mobile LPR imagery.
• Own the moderation model and ensure production reliability for the multimodal search pipeline, including incident response.
• Partner cross-functionally with product, search, and platform teams to translate business priorities into a technical roadmap.

Requirements

• 3+ years of engineering management experience leading Machine Learning teams.
• 7+ years of industry experience in ML, with strong familiarity in computer vision or multimodal modeling.
• Strong technical foundation in Python and modern ML workflows to guide architectural decisions.
• Experience owning production ML systems end-to-end, including deployment and monitoring.
• Proven ability to hire technical ML talent and run structured performance cycles.
• Must be based in the United States and be able to obtain CJIS certification (requires FBI fingerprint-based background check).

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with multimodal models like CLIP, SigLIP, or BLIP.
• Deep familiarity with vector search stores such as FAISS, Weaviate, Pinecone, or Clickhouse.
• Experience with model compression techniques (distillation, quantization, pruning).
• Exposure to multi-GPU or distributed training workflows.
