Salary: CAD 137,300–203,000 per year

Company

hirify.global develops automotive products and technologies focused on zero crashes, zero emissions, and zero congestion.

What you will do

  • Lead end-to-end architecture for chassis motion control systems across embedded and virtual platforms.
  • Define reusable SIL/CoSim architecture patterns integrating plant models, behavioral ECUs, infrastructure vECUs, diagnostics, activation flows, and supplier assets.
  • Own plant-model infrastructure, service and profile activation, infrastructure vECUs, and virtual asset integration for CoSim and SOLE.
  • Integrate FMUs, vECUs, C11/C++ libraries, and AUTOSAR components with controllers, interfaces, tools, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Improve requirements, traceability, quality gates, modeling guidelines, and release processes across CoSim, SIL/HIL, and embedded development.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship while coordinating with architecture, calibration, diagnostics, supplier, and program teams.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in control systems or software development and/or technical leadership, with strong chassis and vehicle dynamics expertise.
  • Deep knowledge of braking, steering, suspension, stability control, calibration, and embedded control methods.
  • Production-grade C/C++ and model-based development experience with MATLAB/Simulink and code generation.
  • Knowledge of AUTOSAR Classic/Adaptive, ECU layering, GMBSW, CoSim/SIL/HIL, vECU integration, plant modeling, and CI/CD.
  • Experience with FMUs/FMI, supplier asset integration, vehicle dynamics simulation, and vehicle communication and measurement tools.
  • Must be able to work from the Markham or Oshawa office at least three days per week and must not require GM immigration sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

  • M.Sc. or Ph.D. in control systems, electrical or mechanical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with statistics, signal processing, optimization, system identification, and state estimation for vehicle or chassis systems.
  • Experience defining virtual integration strategies, architectural guidelines, and playbooks across domains.

Culture & Benefits

  • Paid time off, vacation days, holidays, and supplemental pregnancy, parental, and adoption leave.
  • Healthcare, dental, vision, and life insurance benefits.
  • Defined Contribution Pension plan with company matching contributions.
  • GM Vehicle Purchase Plan for employees and their families.
  • Collaboration with global, cross-functional teams and travel to test sites and partner locations as needed.
