What you will do

• Lead the full cost planning and estimating process for large-scale electrical projects from inception to completion.
• Develop high-level budgets, feasibility estimates, and cost plans during early project stages.
• Oversee and validate detailed estimates and tender documentation prepared by junior team members.
• Provide expert guidance on procurement strategies, contract types, and cost risk management.
• Manage post-contract cost control, including valuations, change management, and final account settlement.
• Mentor junior consultants and build strong client relationships to drive repeat business.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in electrical estimating, cost consulting, or quantity surveying.
• Strong experience managing complex electrical construction projects across multiple phases.
• Advanced understanding of power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and data systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating/cost management software.
• Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Construction Management preferred.
• Must be based in or able to work from Toronto or Montreal, Canada.
