Location: Remote or hybrid (expected 3 days/week in office if within 50 miles of GM hubs in Austin TX, Mountain View CA, or Warren MI; US-based candidates preferred, no immigration sponsorship).

Salary: $188,200–288,500 base + bonus potential.

What you will do

• Define clear product structures and information architectures for complex features, services, and user journeys.
• Design scalable interaction models consistent across web and mobile platforms.
• Translate emerging ideas and technologies into prototypes, frameworks, and experience models.
• Create high-fidelity interface designs communicating systems across screens, states, and flows.
• Identify reusable patterns and contribute to shared design systems and component libraries.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and researchers to validate concepts and elevate design quality through systems thinking and mentorship.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Design, HCI, or equivalent + 8+ years in product/UX/interaction design for web/mobile.
• Proven experience designing complex digital products with strong systems and information architecture.
• Demonstrated ability to turn ambiguous problems into clear UX frameworks and interaction models.
• Advanced proficiency with Figma; strong collaboration in cross-functional, distributed teams.
• No GM immigration sponsorship (H1-B, OPT, etc.); must not require work authorization support.

Nice to have

• Experience in advanced, exploratory, or innovation-focused design initiatives.
• Background contributing to or evolving large-scale design systems.
• Experience designing platform-level experiences over isolated features.
• Comfort shaping early-stage product direction ahead of roadmaps.
