Location: Fully remote (USA), supporting operations across California, New York, and Nevada.
Salary: $115,000–$125,000

What you will do
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements including vendor contracts, distribution agreements, brand partnerships, NDAs, and licensing agreements.
- Advise business teams on regulatory compliance in California, Nevada, and New York can markets, covering license requirements, product labeling, and advertising.
- Support corporate governance matters such as entity management, board resolutions, and investor documentation.
- Partner with operations, finance, sales, and product teams to provide timely legal guidance.
- Monitor can laws and regulations; develop internal guidance and training materials.
- Assist with employment matters, risk management, insurance, and manage outside counsel.
- Build and improve legal processes, templates, and tools to scale the legal function.
Requirements
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar admission (California preferred).
- 2–5 years of legal experience at a law firm and/or in-house, with exposure to commercial contracts and regulatory matters.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple matters with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to translate complex legal concepts for non-lawyers.
- High ownership mindset, collaborative approach, and comfort in ambiguity and evolving regulatory environments.
