TL;DR

Technical Support Specialist (Automated Test Systems): Supporting global deployment, maintenance, and continuous improvement of service test stations and automated test solutions with an accent on hardware/software configuration, test code updates, and NPI support. Location: Beaverton, OR, United States. Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual as defined by ITAR regulations).

Salary: $66,900–$124,300

What you will do

  • Deploy, configure, and maintain service test stations worldwide, including PCs, test equipment, fixtures, and software like TechCal-NI, NTCats, and UltraVNC.
  • Order PCs, manage spare parts, replacement equipment, and obsolescence planning with Service and Manufacturing teams.
  • Provide 24/7 technical support for station, equipment, product, and operator issues through proactive maintenance and rapid resolution.
  • Collaborate on test changes, release Test Change Notices, and ensure compliance with coding standards and documentation.
  • Support New Product Introductions by ordering components, verifying firmware/test code, providing training materials, and collecting feedback for improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience with automated test systems, LabVIEW, and TestStand.
  • Proficient with Windows, Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Internet applications.
  • Proven troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and systems.
  • Strong collaboration, documentation, and training skills.
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to ITAR export control regulations; ongoing employment depends on obtaining necessary U.S. government export authorizations.
