TL;DR

Salary: $70,000 - $100,000 a year

What you will do

  • Partner with suppliers to improve quality, delivery, and manufacturing performance.
  • Conduct on-site supplier assessments and audits to support qualification and performance management.
  • Lead risk analysis activities using DFMEA and PFMEA methodologies.
  • Drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and perform root cause analysis using 8D, 5 Whys, and Fishbone tools.
  • Review technical drawings and specifications to ensure compliance and support First Article Inspections (FAI).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to mitigate supply chain risks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • 1–5+ years of experience in Supplier Quality, Supplier Development, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Familiarity with DFMEA and PFMEA methodologies.
  • Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (Aerospace, Defense, or Automotive).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications (GD&T).
  • Must be based in or be able to work on-site in Dayton, OH.

Nice to have

  • Experience in Aerospace or Defense manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO 9001 standards.
  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience.
  • Experience working with machining, electronics, composites, or precision manufacturing suppliers.
