TL;DR

Sr. Quality Engineer (Defense): Ensuring compliance and quality for defense products and contracts with an accent on manufacturing processes, inspection planning, and root cause analysis. Location: Onsite in Salt Lake City, UT

Salary: $95,000–$130,000 Annually

What you will do

  • Function as the Quality lead for assigned programs, overseeing contractual requirements and quality codes.
  • Provide technical support to customers, suppliers, and government agencies to ensure contract compliance.
  • Lead the creation and evaluation of cost-effective inspection planning and program plans.
  • Conduct root cause analysis, failure analysis, DOEs, and SPC to improve manufacturing processes.
  • Lead the review and evaluation of suspect materials and participate in corrective action reviews.
  • Collaborate with inspection personnel and other departments to make production operations more efficient and defect-free.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering, analytical, or scientific field.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in a Quality environment (8+ years desirable).
  • Experience with AS9100, ISO9001, and AS9102 standards.
  • Working knowledge of GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
  • Experience with Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Must be authorized to access U.S. export-controlled information.
