Service Engineer (AV/LED)

What you will do

• Diagnose and perform electrical and mechanical repairs on LED displays and professional AV equipment at the board and component level.
• Execute manual soldering, hot air rework, and maintain 400V three-phase power distribution systems.
• Manage the PAT testing process, including tracking and certification in accordance with legislation.
• Conduct preventative maintenance, firmware updates, and performance calibration to minimize downtime.
• Perform minor mechanical fabrication and modifications using workshop machinery such as milling and drilling equipment.
• Collaborate with Operations and Technical teams to prioritize urgent repairs and support field troubleshooting.

Requirements

• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Competency in soldering and PCB fault tracing.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Solid understanding of electrical safety standards.
• Proficiency in IT and experience using service or asset management systems.
• Location: Must be based in or able to work onsite in Crawley, UK

Nice to have

• Experience working with three-phase power systems.
• BS7909 certification.
