Approved Electrician (Engineering)

TL;DR

Approved Electrician (Engineering): Installation, inspection, and testing of electrical systems for critical national infrastructure projects with an accent on industrial environments and regulatory compliance. Focus on installing SWA cabling, distribution boards, and diagnosing faults in accordance with BS7671 standards.

Location: Field Based, UK. Working away from home is expected around 80% of the year.

What you will do

• Carry out inspection and testing of electrical installations in line with current regulations.
• Perform installation of tray work, conduit, trunking, and SWA type cabling.
• Install distribution boards within industrial environments.
• Diagnose electrical faults and execute necessary remedial works.
• Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Ensure all installations strictly comply with BS7671 Wiring Regulations.

Requirements

• Qualified Electrician (C&G, Apprenticeship, AM2 or equivalent)
• C&G 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
• Inspection & Testing C&G 2391 or equivalent
• CCNSG certification
• DBS Check required
