What you will do

• Lead the design, development, and validation of battery cells, modules, and packs.
• Develop electrical, thermal, and aging battery performance models.
• Oversee battery testing programs, including cycle life, abuse testing, and safety compliance.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software teams to integrate battery systems into products.
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for performance or reliability issues.
• Support Battery Management System (BMS) development, focusing on SOC/SOH estimation.

Requirements

• Deep technical expertise in battery chemistry, cell design, and pack design.
• Experience ensuring compliance with standards such as UL, IEC, UN38.3, SAE, and ISO.
• Proven ability to provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Must be able to work on-site in Hanahan, SC.
