TL;DR
Staff Technology Manager (Compute Platform): Leading the vision and development of high-performance compute hardware strategies for current and next-generation vehicles with an accent on SoC, GPU, and NPU architectures. Focus on delivering infotainment and active safety platforms while optimizing for cost, mass, and power targets.
Location: Hybrid: Must be based in or report to offices in Warren, MI, Milford, MI, or Mountain View, CA (at least 3 days per week).

What you will do
- Lead the vision, roadmap, and hardware strategy for vehicle compute platforms for current and next-generation vehicles.
- Plan and deliver infotainment and active safety platforms to meet strict vehicle timelines.
- Perform analysis to ensure compute platforms exceed cost, mass, and power targets for both ICE and EV vehicles.
- Identify future chipsets and compute architectures and generate compelling strategies for stakeholders.
- Partner with suppliers and ecosystem partners to monitor trends in SoC, GPU, and NPU technologies.
- Lead competitive benchmarking, teardown analysis, and technical evaluations to drive performance and cost improvements.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience working with compute hardware technologies (SoCs, GPUs, MCUs, BSP, and embedded OS software).
- 3+ years of experience in automotive technology management (Product Management or Engineering management).
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Math, or Physics.
- Deep technical knowledge of embedded hardware and software development.
- Demonstrated expertise in technical writing and the ability to communicate strategy to all company levels.
Nice to have
- Master's degree in Engineering or Business Administration.
- Knowledge of Linux kernel internals, including memory management and device driver frameworks.
- Experience working with vehicle development processes.
