What you will do

• Conduct standard and non-standard testing for home and security products.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot test equipment according to written or verbal instructions.
• Document testing results in standard reports and collaborate with engineers to interpret data.
• Independently design and build new test configurations using existing core equipment.
• Modify computer programs for test equipment, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
• Mentor and train other lab staff as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be based in or be able to work onsite in North Olmsted, Ohio.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in an engineering lab or test environment.
• Experience in consumer product testing.
• Familiarity with electronic, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and data acquisition systems.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology preferred; high school diploma and equivalent experience may be considered.
