Location: Remote-first (global), flexibility policy with no cap on vacation days; EU-based can work abroad up to 180 days/year; optional co-working in Hamburg, Berlin, Munich, London, Madrid, Barcelona, New York

What you will do

  • Own global payroll processes for entities in Germany, Austria, France, Spain, Portugal, UK, Netherlands ensuring accuracy and deadlines
  • Manage external payroll providers, EOR (Remote), PEO (US), handling compliance and queries
  • Support employees with payroll inquiries acting as primary contact
  • Optimize and automate payroll workflows between HRIS and payroll systems
  • Calculate sales incentives and bonuses with RevOps
  • Collaborate with Finance on reporting, audits, planning, grants, and subsidies

Requirements

  • Professionally fluent in English and German (written and verbal)
  • 3+ years managing preparatory payroll for Germany
  • Experience with payroll in France and/or Spain (AT, UK, NL, US, PT a plus), understanding statutory requirements
  • Proven management of external payroll providers (EOR/PEO a plus)
  • Product mindset for process optimization and automation between HRIS/payroll
  • Strong analytical skills, proficient in Excel/Google Sheets
  • Empathetic communication for explaining complex payroll issues
  • Ownership in fast-paced scaling environments
