Location: Bologna, Italy (office-based with 1 day WFH per week, excluding Mondays and Fridays)

What you will do

• Ensure accounting integrity and compliance across Italy, Mexico, Thailand, and Romania, including revenue recognition and general ledger management.
• Perform monthly closings in NetSuite for Italy, import summaries from subsidiaries, and handle reconciliations, AR/AP, and cash transfers.
• Prepare annual financial statements, manage statutory audits, and coordinate tax matters with local advisors.
• Implement accounting policies and procedures using a risk-based approach.
• Oversee 4 direct reports in Italy, 1 in Mexico, 1 in Thailand, and 1 in Romania.

Requirements

• Proven knowledge of bookkeeping, accounting principles, standards, laws, and regulations.
• Minimum 2 years in audit, preferably Big 4 or tier 2 firms.
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Proactivity, high attention to detail, and accuracy.
• Ability to work in an international, fast-paced environment and manage a heterogeneous team.

Nice to have

• CPA or local chartered accountant qualification.
• Knowledge of English.
• Experience with NetSuite.
• Experience with IFRS or US GAAP.
