Accounting Manager

Location: Hybrid (8 days/month), Must be based in Cluj-Napoca, Romania

What you will do

• Lead and provide operational support to a team across GL, cash application, and payments activities.
• Oversee period-end close activities, including the preparation and review of financial statements and management reports.
• Review account reconciliations to ensure balance sheet integrity and resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and governance frameworks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in Treasury, AP, AR, Tax, and Finance to ensure consistent data flow.
• Identify and implement opportunities for process optimization, standardization, and automation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Finance or Accounting roles.
• 2+ years of experience in people coordination or first-line leadership.
• Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken).
• Strong Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
• Experience in a corporate or shared services environment.

• Knowledge of SAP.
