What you will do

• Perform daily accounting activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
• Maintain and reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts
• Prepare and post journal entries and assist with month-end and year-end close
• Ensure proper classification of transactions within QuickBooks
• Analyze financial data using Excel, specifically utilizing pivot tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
• Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and documentation

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
• Solid understanding of general accounting principles
• Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
• Must be based in or able to work in Chesapeake, VA
