Release Engineer (AI)

Location: Fully onsite at the office in Lisbon, Portugal; relocation support is available.

Salary: €54,000–€67,000 annually, to be discussed.

What you will do

• Manage and optimize release pipelines for reliable software deployments.
• Define versioning strategies across multiple environments.
• Coordinate releases with engineering, QA, DevOps, and product teams.
• Automate build, release, and deployment processes using CI/CD tools.
• Implement feature-flagging strategies and controlled rollouts.
• Monitor release performance, troubleshoot deployment issues, and maintain rollback and deployment documentation.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in release engineering, DevOps, or build and release management.
• Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or ArgoCD.
• Strong knowledge of Git, GitFlow, or trunk-based development.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of Bash, Python, or PowerShell for automation, plus familiarity with Xcode, Gradle, or Webpack.
• Strong troubleshooting, risk-assessment, rollback, collaboration, and communication skills in an agile environment.
